Allied Craftsmen of San Diego
Founded in 1947
History
Established in 1947 with just 9 original members, the Allied Craftsmen of San Diego remains one of the oldest continuously operating craft guilds in the country.
Since its inception, ACSD has consistently attracted the finest craft artists of the region and over the years, has been a literal “who’s who” of cutting-edge modern craft artists. Today, over 70 members strong, the Allied Craftsmen of San Diego proudly carry forward the tradition of innovation and excellence in contemporary craft that was started more than 70 years ago.
Mission
Building on a vision ahead of its time, the ACSD has been working to redefine the boundaries of traditional and contemporary craft.
Building on that tradition, it is our mission to present the work of the finest contemporary craft artists of the region while fostering communication, appreciation and educational opportunities between our members and the broader community.
